Ethiopia is not a poor country but a country with poor leadership. Today as in yesterday, Ethiopian politicians look out for themselves. They have and never will get results for the people. And the world took note but did nothing to help us - that is in our quest for true freedom. They in fact have become enablers.
Let us all, both inside and outside of Ethiopia, resolve this era must end. We must start the hard work of ending it now. It cannot be the last thing we do. It cannot be the second or third thing we do. It must be the first thing we do.
We then can talk of building an Ethiopia where our leaders and our people set the highest standards and hold every member of our government accountable. An Ethiopia, where incompetence is not a synonym for government. An Ethiopia, where corruption does not hold us back.
